Holly Springs High School Student Council

Building a Tradition of Excellence

Student Council and Class Council Executive Board Expectations

Attend all meetings and participate actively

We want and need to hear your ideas as the school leaders.  It is the expectation that if you have an emergency of some kind, which impedes you from attending a meeting, you communicate it to the president or an advisor with proper notice.

Promote and attend all Student Council events

This includes all events, projects, and gatherings of the Student Council.  This is what you were elected to your positions to do.

Organize events, projects, and gatherings

All tenth-twelfth grade members are expected to chair a committee and serve on at least one other committee.  Freshmen members are expected to serve on at least two committees.

Convey thoughts, suggestions, and ideas from your peers to the council

This is how you assist and support your class.  Don't be afraid to share your or your peer's ideas.

Follow all school rules and regulations

You are the leaders of your school–the ones who set the mood and impressions upon your peers.  It is the expectation that your daily behavior demonstrates appropriate conduct at all times.

Follow through with your responsibilities

This just simply means that if you volunteer and promise to do something that you get it done.  If you ever do need assistance or guidance, the executive board and advisors have your back and is more than willing to help you.

Keep positive and have fun!

Remember to have positive attitude and always have fun with Student Council.  This is NOT a burden.  The council experience is exactly what you make of it.  Be optimistic and glad that you are the leaders of your student body.
